Death & the Penguin

Taking their name from a novel by Ukrainian author Andrey Kurkov, Death and the Penguin have created their own brand of off-kilter alternative/indie rock.

Having released two EPs to date, the outfit have just finished recording their debut album which is due out later this year. The first release from the album, Kill Saatchi, was described by The Line of Best Fit as having a "perfect equilibrium between disjointed key signatures and catchy instrumentals".

The four-piece have also received the attention of the likes of Kerrang!, XFM, BBC Introducing and Artrocker, and have been wowing audiences nationwide with their finely tuned live set complete with soaring vocal harmonies and mind-boggling instrumental gymnastics.
