The artist AKA Capitaine Monaluise was born in 1992 in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Aged 7, she began studying music and piano, quickly discovering that her greatest passion was to sing. Her heart took wings when she first heard the likes of "Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc", as she would endlessly sing their songs around her family home. C Monaluise fully recognised her potential as a lead vocalist when she was about 18. Performance gave her the opportunity to free her soul, so for the next two years she spent many hours in her basement playing, singing and greatly developing her craft. She developed a profound, daring voice with a unique, exciting tone, echoing aspects of Vonda Shepard, Jon Bon Jovi or PJ Harvey. Despite having studied different singing courses, she is committed to enhance and develop her voice even further, as she believes in the authenticity of natural sound. Accordingly, for the past 8 years she has performed countless concerts and open mics. She is resolute to become a recognised singer, offering a rich tapestry within her work: empowering songs that marry elements of rock, folk and soul.
